Wellmount is only a five minute walk from Athlone Institute of Technology and a short walk from the town centre. It is located on the main Dublin Road opposite Chadwicks and is serviced by the local shuttle bus route both to the AIT and to Golden Island Shopping Centre. It is a short taxi trip from either the bus or rail station and has ample parking for residents.
